Tivat Airport continued to record traffic growth in March compared to the same period last year, as a total of 20.226 passengers passed through its terminal building last month, which is a 7,6 percent better result than in March 2024.
A total of 354 aircraft takeoff and landing operations were recorded on the runway next to the Tivat Bay during the past month.
In total, in the first quarter of this year, Tivat Airport recorded a traffic of 53.538 passengers, which is a 5,42 percent better result than in the first three months of last year.
From January 1 to March 31, a total of 931 aircraft takeoff and landing operations were carried out, which is 4,9 percent more than in the same period last year.
This was achieved despite the fact that, unlike last winter, Turkish Airlines did not fly to Tivat from Istanbul in this year's IATA winter season.
In the first three months, the most passengers to and from Tivat Airport were transported by the Montenegrin national airline Air Montenegro, which operates two regular routes, to Belgrade and to Istanbul. Air Montenegro carried a total of 26.849 passengers on these routes from Tivat in the first quarter of this year (15.040 to Belgrade and 11.809 to Istanbul). The Serbian national airline Air Serbia carried a total of 24.185 passengers in the first three months of this year, operating from Tivat to Belgrade and vice versa.
