Without quality air connectivity, there is no competitiveness of a tourist destination, with each new line opening the door to the arrival of new tourists, assessed the Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić.
"That is why we initiated the establishment of a direct air route with Sofia, because it is not only our opening to Bulgaria, with which, among other things, we are discussing linking the tourist offer, but also to much wider markets. Good air accessibility is a key prerequisite for the development of tourism," said Kordić at a meeting with the CEO of the national airline Air Montenegro, Vukadin Stojanović.
The topic of the meeting was the national airline's current results and future plans, with special emphasis on the importance of air accessibility for the development of tourism.
Stojanović informed that Air Montenegro is recording excellent business results and that the company is fully open to further agreements and expansion of the flight network. He particularly emphasized that February and March were record-breaking in terms of passenger cabin occupancy.
He also announced that this summer, Montenegro will be connected to four cities in France for the first time - Paris, Nantes, Lyon and Lille, and that Air Montenegro is expected to have up to ten year-round routes this year.
