The regional water supply company has offered local water supply companies in coastal municipalities the opportunity to contract additional quantities of water during the upcoming summer season, it was said at today's meeting, which was held at the initiative of the Regional Water Supply Company of the Montenegrin Coast, between the management of this state-owned company and the executive directors of the Water Supply and Sewerage Companies of Tivat, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Bar, Budva and Ulcinj, with their associates.
Executive Director of the Regional Water Supply Company Krsto Radović expressed his gratitude to all those present for the constructive dialogue and emphasized that "the hand of the Regional Water Supply Company is extended for every form of cooperation", with a clear insistence on better and professional communication between all stakeholders in the water supply system.
"The meeting was an opportunity for participants to learn in detail about the dynamics of the commissioning of the new filter plant, with a capacity of 100 to 115 liters per second, whose trial operation is expected in mid-June. The new plant will provide a stable and safe water supply during the summer months, thus responding to the increased need for water during the tourist season, when water consumption is highest," the Regional Water Supply Company announced.
Special emphasis, as emphasized, was placed on the delivery of additional quantities of water during the tourist season, with the aim of ensuring a stable and high-quality water supply.
"In this context, the possibilities of using additional, local sources were also discussed, about which the directors of local water utilities provided detailed information. Also, local water utilities were offered the possibility of contracting larger minimum quantities of water than currently contracted, in order to respond in a timely manner to increased water needs in the summer period. During the meeting, the directors of local water utilities informed the representatives of the Regional Water Utility about the specific challenges and problems they are facing in the field. On the other hand, the management of the Regional Water Utility informed those present about the current status of works on the Tivat - Jaz boulevard, expressing dissatisfaction with the dynamics of the work. Cooperation between the Regional Water Utility and local water utilities is of key importance for ensuring continuous water supply to end consumers on the Montenegrin coast, thus contributing to the stability and quality of water supply in this area," the statement said.
