Alcazar Energy Company: We listen, collaborate and adapt

The company "Alcazar Energy", which plans to build a wind farm in the village of Malinsko in the municipality of Šavnik, and a substation in the village of Gornja Brezna in the village of Piva, after a public hearing on the Environmental Impact Assessment, which was held yesterday in Plužine and at which the villagers of the aforementioned village said that they would not allow the construction of poles and a substation on their properties, sent a press release stating that they "recognize the concerns expressed by residents regarding the proposed transmission line connected to the wind farm, including those related to access to the land for conducting field surveys."

"We take these issues seriously, are taking corrective measures and are committed to resolving them effectively, transparently and respectfully. Alcazar Energy is proactively considering all possible alternatives to minimize any impact on local communities, while preserving the natural landscape and enabling the further development of sustainable tourism in the region, such as state-of-the-art power line solutions designed to significantly reduce visual impact. We remain fully committed to working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the Bijela wind farm is in line with the expectations and best interests of the residents of Gornja Brezna," the press release states.

They pointed out that the value of the wind farm is approximately 200 million euros and that it is among the largest in the renewable energy sector in the country.

"This investment will create jobs, generate clean electricity to be delivered to the national grid, enough to power around 16.000 households, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions at the national level by more than 230.000 tons per year. In addition to the energy benefits, the project supports Montenegro's long-term integration into the EU energy market and strengthens its position as a regional hub for sustainable development.
