The Public Company for Marine Management has announced a tender for the insurance of four ferries, "Grbalj", "Trideseti avgust", "Ruka pravde" and "Teodo", with a total value of 43.000 euros, and bids can be submitted until June 2nd.

Montenegrin ferries will have to be insured in accordance with international standards for liability in maritime transport (P&I insurance for ferries), and the insurance will cover possible damage to the crew, other ships and structures at sea. Mandatory insurance, as stipulated in the Law on Maritime Safety, will relate to the liability of shipowners in the event of collision, damage to third party property or accidents at sea, in accordance with international conventions.

The insurance is concluded for a year.

"The bidder whose bid is selected as the most favorable is obliged to submit to Morski dobro, along with the signed public procurement contract, a performance guarantee for the contract, in the event of a breach of contractual obligations in the amount of 10% of the contract value with a validity period 30 days longer than the contract execution period. In the event of a justified exceeding of the contracted contract execution period, the bidder whose bid is selected as the most favorable is obliged to extend the validity period of the performance guarantee for the contract before the expiration of the validity period, at the request of Morski dobro. The guarantee must state that it is unconditional and payable on first demand," the tender documentation states.
