The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) has announced public calls for proposals for the design of a commemorative coin, marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the supreme monetary institution and the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro's independence.
On this occasion, the Central Bank of Montenegro invited all interested parties to submit proposals for conceptual designs for the jubilee coinage – gold and silver coins.
Authors have artistic freedom when creating their work, but the elements stipulated in the public call points published on the CBM website must be respected.
In both calls, the Commission will select conceptual designs from the submitted proposals, and the author of the selected design will be notified in writing. The author will then be required to create a model of the selected design in the appropriate material, diameter, and relief.
Proposals for conceptual designs are submitted to the Central Bank of Montenegro archives in a sealed envelope, no later than 15 noon on June 12. The deadline for submitting the completed model is seven days from the date of receipt of the written notification of the selection of the conceptual design.
Prizes are planned for the best conceptual design proposals: first place will receive three thousand EUR, second place two thousand and third place one thousand EUR.
If the Commission assesses that none of the submitted proposals have the necessary quality, it may decide not to award prizes.
