Muhamed Alabar, an investor from the United Arab Emirates, arrived in Kolašin on Saturday, where he stayed until around 15 p.m. He was accompanied by the president and vice president of the municipality – Petko Bakić (Democrats) and Vasilije Ivanović (Europe Now Movement).
Alabar came to Kolašin after receiving an invitation from the head of the local executive authority on Thursday, during the RE:D conference in Podgorica, "to come and learn about the potential that Kolašin offers."
According to unofficial information from Vijesti, the main reason for Alabar's arrival in Kolašin is Ivanović, to whom the investor from the United Arab Emirates also announced himself.
Alabar toured the city with Bakić and Ivanović, and then, according to unofficial information, he visited Sinjajevina, Bjelasica, and Biogradska gora National Park with representatives of several departments, as well as the mayor and vice mayors of the municipality, Ivanović and Miodrag Bulatović (SNP).
Ivanovic did not want to give a statement to Vijesti regarding Alabara's visit, but he did not deny unofficial information that the investor was coming to Kolašin again in a few days.
On Thursday, Bakić and Ivanović presented "two key development projects related to the areas of Sinjajevina and Bjelasica" to the investor from the UAE, as officially announced. The people of Kolašin presented projects in the fields of tourism, agriculture and energy, with a special emphasis on sustainable development and valorization of the natural potential of our municipality.
Apparently, this is an idea for a project with the working title Bjelasica 365, as well as a similar one related to Sinjajevina. However, not all representatives of the Kolašin government, nor the citizens, were familiar with the ideas presented to Alabaru, because these ideas were never officially presented in Kolašin.
