The aviation summit in Krakow is a good opportunity to strengthen cooperation with aviation authorities at the European level, EU institutions and international organizations, especially in fulfilling obligations on the path to membership, said the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Ivan Šćekić.

"Montenegro is expanding partnership ties in air transport," said Šćekić after numerous talks on the sidelines of the two-day summit in Krakow, which ends today.

The CAA said that the summit was preceded by a meeting of the directors general of civil aviation of the member countries of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), at which achievements and upcoming priorities were discussed.

"The two-day event, whose message is - Towards a safe, clean and competitive European aviation, is important for a high-level discussion on the challenges facing air traffic, plans for the coming period and possible solutions," the statement said.

Topics included, among other things, traffic forecasts for the summer season, sustainable aviation fuels, new technologies, safety and security, as well as the restoration of air traffic in Ukraine.

The event, organized by the Civil Aviation Agency of Poland, was attended by representatives of the European Commission (EC), international and European institutions, and the European Parliament (EP).
