Monstat: Average salary in April 1,01 thousand euros

The average salary without taxes and contributions in April, according to Monstat data, amounted to 1,01 thousand and was 0,6 percent higher than in March.

The average net salary in April increased by 21,9 percent compared to the same month last year.

The average gross salary in April in Montenegro was 1,2 thousand euros.

"If we take into account that consumer prices in April recorded an increase of 0,8 percent compared to March, it follows that real earnings for the same period recorded a decrease of 0,2 percent," the statement said. Average net earnings in April recorded an increase compared to the previous month in the sectors of artistic entertainment and recreational activities by 2,7 percent, health and social protection by 2,5 percent, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 1,9 percent, state administration and defense: compulsory social insurance by 1,8 percent, manufacturing by 1,2 percent, accommodation and food services by 1,2 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 1,1 percent, construction by 1,1 percent, mining and quarrying by 0,4 percent, education by 0,3 percent and agriculture, forestry and fishing by 0,2 percent.

The decline in average earnings without taxes and contributions in April compared to the previous month was recorded in the following sectors: information and communication 5,2 percent, real estate 4,9 percent, financial and insurance activities 2,8 percent, transport and storage 1,5 percent, water supply, wastewater management, process control, waste disposal and similar activities 0,8 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities 0,5 percent, other service activities 0,2 percent and administrative and support service activities 0,1 percent.
