The Traffic Administration does not have to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the project of the 42-meter-long Ravnjak bridge, the construction of which is planned on the Đurđevića Tara - Mojkovac road in the town of Bistrica.
This is stated in the decision made by the Environmental Protection Agency. The bridge will be located over the Ravnjak River, which could become muddy during construction due to digging the foundations, so it is recommended to work in the summer and autumn when it dries up.
The accompanying documents emphasize that during the construction of the bridge, standard pollution present at construction sites is expected, and that it will be of a local nature.
"In the initial phase of the construction of the bridge and access roads, the route will be cleared, i.e. the land cover will be removed from the areas that will be occupied by the access roads and bridge foundations, and thus the plant cover, i.e. deciduous vegetation, will be removed, which will to a certain extent negatively affect the flora and fauna of the location. In the part of the zone where the bridge construction site is located, as well as in its surroundings, there are no protected objects or cultural and historical heritage assets," the attached document states.
There is a deciduous forest on both sides of the planned bridge that will be removed, but it is emphasized that the negative impacts during the implementation of the project and the use of the route will not be significant. The urban and technical requirements for the development of technical documentation for the new Ravnjak bridge and access roads were issued by the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property in June 2024, while the project is being built in accordance with the spatial and urban plan of Mojkovac.
