Tolić: We are working as if there will be no concession, we are ready to accept arguments that offer rapid development

Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro Roko Tolic He said that the employees of that company are working as if the concession will never happen and that they are expecting a record three million passengers this year.

At the same time, he says, Airports are ready to accept serious arguments that would offer rapid infrastructure development.

"We are doing our job responsibly, concentratedly and very engaged, undisturbed by the noise that is rising around us these days, and we have great motivation to achieve the best business year and for now we are on the right track. In the first five months of this year, we are surpassing the record year of 2024, and I emphasize this because it is sometimes forgotten that Montenegro has never had more passengers in aviation than last year. This year we have the ambition to reach three million passengers for the first time," said Tolić, as announced by the Airports.

"This increased enthusiasm of the employees, for which I am grateful, is certainly conditioned by a new spark of proof that the employees are the most important resource of this company and the guarantor of its success. But, at the same time, we work and behave as if there will never be a concession. At the same time, we are aware, responsible, professional and ready to accept the argument that guarantees the rapid, I emphasize - rapid, development of the Airport of Montenegro to the level of infrastructure that will ensure a pleasant travel experience for our employees and all users of our services," he added.

Tolić also addressed the position of the trade unionists.

"I welcome the messages from our unions, who have stated that they believe that the Government of Montenegro will communicate seriously and with arguments both with them and with the entire Montenegrin public, and that it will ultimately make a decision that will be to the satisfaction of all of Montenegro, citizens and employees," said the Executive Director of ACG.

New fire truck worth more than a million euros

Today he is staying at Tivat Airport, whose Rescue and Fire Service received a new fire truck worth more than a million euros.

"We hope we will never use this vehicle, but in this way we send a message that Tivat Airport remains safe for all operations," says Tolić.

In addition, he congratulated his colleagues from Tivat on the award they received from one of the most important European low-cost carriers, EasyJet. The British airline declared Tivat Airport the airport that made the greatest progress in providing ground handling services in the category of airports outside the United Kingdom. EasyJet compared the quality of services from May 2024 with the same month this year, ACG writes.

They also remind that one of the world's largest airlines, Turkish Airlines, earlier this year declared Podgorica Airport's operations the best in its network in Southern Europe.
