A total of 4.667 officially registered tourists are currently vacationing in all types of registered accommodation on the Tivat Riviera, which represents a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

This was announced by the Tivat Tourist Organization (TO), emphasizing that almost all guests are from abroad, only about thirty of them are from Montenegro.

"Overall, foreign tourists make up over 99% of all guests on the Tivat Riviera, which clearly indicates the importance of the foreign market for local tourism," the TO stated.

They noted that the current level of visitation is 23 percent better compared to the previous record year of 2019.

The largest number of guests are staying in private accommodation, where a total of 3.733 guests have been recorded, of which 3.731 are foreign tourists. Private accommodation providers are currently recording a 9 percent increase in attendance compared to last year, while compared to 2019, an increase of as much as 27 percent was recorded. 934 guests are vacationing in Tivat hotels, which is 16 percent more than in the same period last year, and 14 percent more than in 2019. Here too, foreign tourists dominate - 903 of the total number.

The tourism organization points out that the largest percentage of guests in the smallest town on Boka Bay is still from Russia, which accounts for 24,93 percent of the total. The Serbian market follows with 20,72 percent, while a significant number of arrivals are also recorded from Turkey, Great Britain and Azerbaijan. A smaller but important contribution to the number of arrivals is also made by guests from Germany, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel and Croatia.

Otherwise, TO Tivat has prepared a new application designed for registered accommodation providers with the aim of facilitating and improving the registration of their guests' stays. The application, called "Lotos Turist", will be officially presented on Monday in the multimedia hall of the Municipality of Tivat.

"The Tivat Tourist Organization is trying to make the legal obligation to register your stay easier for both accommodation providers and tourists themselves, so that providers can fulfill their obligations and tourists can enjoy their stay in Tivat. With this innovation, the way it works and all the benefits that the application offers, the Tivat Tourist Organization will introduce accommodation providers at a presentation on Monday. The presentation is designed to present the key functions of the application, instructions for use, as well as the advantages it brings in everyday work," the local TO stated.
