The draft amendments to the Decision on the budget of the municipality of Mojkovac for this year project that total revenues and expenditures will be 9,16 million euros, which is 785.750 euros more than the original plan.

As the President of the Municipal Assembly (SO) told "Vijesta" Marko Janketić, the reason for the rebalance is the higher revenues achieved compared to the planned ones, so, he explains, additional funds will be directed towards the implementation of key capital and infrastructure projects.

"It is planned that 400.000 euros will be directed to the construction of the first phase of the replica of the medieval royal city of Brskovo. This is a cultural and tourist theme park that will permanently change the appearance of Mojkovac and contribute to its economic and demographic development. Within the Brskovo complex, the formation of cultural institutions, tourist facilities and content adapted to the modern needs of tourists is planned. The project represents a combination of history and the future, "returning" visitors to the Middle Ages, but also contributing to strengthening the identity of the city and the state," says Janketić.

According to him, the project "will also have an educational function, generate a record number of visits to Mojkovac and encourage the dynamic development of the local community." The budget also allocated funds for the establishment of the Mojkovac Museum, a public institution. Construction work on the adaptation of the space in the city center is underway, says the president of the Municipal Assembly, and the Decision on the Establishment and the Study on the Justification of the New Institution will be considered at the next session of the local parliament.

"An additional 200.000 euros have been allocated for the construction of a sports hall near the city stadium, and a new budget item has also been planned - support for companies and entrepreneurs in the hospitality and tourism sectors who are suffering the consequences of the traffic suspension on the Mojkovac - Đurđevića Tara regional road. 50.000 euros have been allocated for this purpose," explains Janketić.

He says that a decision is being prepared that will include subsidies for employees' salaries. The revised budget also envisages an increase in the amount for the construction and installation of street lighting, both in urban and rural areas.
