According to its representatives, the National Parks (NPCG) are experiencing an increase in the number of visits, while the natural and cultural and historical values of Montenegro are attracting an increasing number of active vacation enthusiasts year after year.
The director of the National Park of Montenegro, Marinela Đuretić, said that all national parks are recording an increase in the number of visits.

"We have had 26,2 thousand visitors to Biogradska Gora National Park so far, which is about 39 percent more than the previous year. The park opened earlier this year, and we expect that the gates of this protected area will be open year-round from next season," Đuretić told the CGNews agency.
According to her, after the winter months, the National Park Service had a lot of work to do to improve and enhance the area, so intensive work was done on cleaning trails, removing various types of waste, and a number of other activities so that the parks could provide a complete stay experience for visitors.
"In the Biogradska Gora National Park, traditional canoes have been repaired, which are one of the park's tourist offerings that are of great interest, while through a donation from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIC), we replaced old furniture, a pontoon located on the lake, and resting areas," said Đuretić.
She added that a donation of equipment was presented by the Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will certainly help the Protection Service to perform its duties more adequately and efficiently in the coming period.

Đuretić also announced the implementation of a large number of projects in national parks. In the Lovćen National Park, the implementation of the PaCon II project is underway, which includes the adaptation of the Visitor Center, hiking trails, and adaptations for people with disabilities.
"In Durmitor NP, in cooperation with the Eco Fund, we are implementing a project that will reconstruct the trail around Crno Jezero, as well as install a biofilter. In Skadar Lake NP, the purchase of a boat and an outboard motor is planned through projects, while in Prokletije NP, although we currently have no active projects, we are working hard to improve the infrastructure and offer we have in this park as soon as possible," Đuretić specified.

Ticket prices have remained unchanged, and the National Parks of Montenegro is continuously promoting an annual ticket, with which citizens can visit all five parks an unlimited number of times for 13,5 euros.
They also remind that the Visit Them All campaign runs until July 15th in cooperation with CKB, within which Visa card users can get a 50 percent cashback benefit and buy a ticket for 6,75 euros.
