The Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM) and the Institute for Leadership (IoL), a global community of leaders based in the United Kingdom, have formalized a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
The memorandum was signed by the President of AMM, Budimir Raičković, and the Executive Director of IoL, John Mark Williams, making the Association of Managers the main partner of this prestigious organization for the Balkan region.
IoL, founded in 1947, brings together more than 50 managers and leaders from over 70 countries and is recognized as an influential global organization in the field of leadership and management.
"Its members come from all industries and from diverse organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Focused on developing ethical and effective leadership, the IoL organizes numerous educational and professional events each year, including the International Leadership Weekend in March, the Leadership Live conference in June, a members' reception in September and the Annual Leadership Awards in November," the statement said.
The Institute's existing formal partnerships include the Commonwealth Secretariat, EAPM European Association for Human Resource Management (EAPM), and most recently – CEC European Managers.
The Institute also collaborates with organisations from the Commonwealth family, including the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
The Memorandum foresees that AMM will be the main strategic partner of IoL in the broader process of internationalization and strengthening the presence of that organization in Central and Eastern Europe, with a special emphasis on supporting the work of the AMM Academy.
Work is also planned to establish a Balkan Center for Leadership and Management through joint activities, educational programs, research, and expert panels.
Raičković said that this partnership is a strong confirmation of the international reputation that AMM has built through dedicated work on promoting the culture of leadership and management in Montenegro and the region.
"It opens up new opportunities for professional development and networking of our members and young leaders through high-quality global resources," said Raičković.
Williams stated that the Balkan region is an area of great potential and transformation, where leadership plays a key role.
"AMM is recognized as a credible and active partner with whom we want to build a long-term and meaningful cooperation," said Williams.
This cooperation further confirms AMM's strategic orientation towards international positioning, knowledge development, and strengthening leadership that responds to the challenges of the modern era.
