The Trade Union of Montenegro expressed full support for the protest by the Health Care Union, which is demanding, as they say, dignified working conditions and fair valorization of the efforts of health care workers.
The Trade Workers' Union said in a letter of support that they believe that decision-makers must recognize and respect the gravity and responsibility of the call of healthcare workers.
"With deep understanding and concern, we follow your fight against years of institutional indifference, which has led to nurses, technicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists and all other healthcare workers being continuously overburdened and undervalued. The request to increase the job complexity coefficient is more than justified and represents the minimum that society owes to those who protect the health and dignity of citizens every day. A starting salary of 540 euros, given the complexity and responsibility of the work you perform, cannot be considered dignified or stimulating.
"As a trade union that faces similar challenges every day in the fight for workers' rights, we believe that solidarity is the foundation of our actions. Therefore, we assure you that in your efforts to make the voice of medical staff heard, you are not alone. Your fight is also our fight - for a more just, humane and responsible society," reads a letter of support to the Health Trade Union signed by Novka Janković, president of the Trade Workers' Union.
