According to the latest data from the local Tourist Organization, 6.985 officially registered tourists are currently staying in all types of registered accommodation on the Tivat Riviera, which is a five percent lower result than on the same day last year.
Tourism professionals have yet to analyze what decisively influences the fact that the beginning of this year's peak summer season in Tivat is characterized by a drop in visits compared to last year, and to what extent catastrophic traffic jams in the city and on the approaches to Tivat due to construction work on the boulevard from the Airport to Jaz, increasingly frequent infrastructure problems with water supply and occasional power outages, and, compared to last year, a significant increase in the prices of almost all catering and other services, as well as large increases in the prices of goods in stores, contribute to this.
The number of visitors to Tivat is currently seven percent higher than in the previous period of the so-far record-breaking 2019. Of the total number of tourists currently vacationing in Tivat, 6.901 are foreigners, and only 84 are visitors from Montenegro. Most of Tivat's guests, a total of 5.764, use the services of private accommodation providers, while 1.086 tourists stay in hotels.
There are 100 visitors in the resorts, while 35 tourists are spending their summers in campsites.
When it comes to the structure of guests on the Tivat Riviera, the largest number of visitors comes from Serbia, with a total of 1.712 guests, followed by tourists from Russia (1.063), Great Britain (344), Turkey (259) and Ukraine (247). In smaller numbers, tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Germany, the United States and Israel are also currently vacationing here.
