The total collection of customs revenues in June amounted to 129,53 million euros, which is 18,17 million euros, or 16,32 percent more than in the same month last year.
The Customs Administration announced that the collected revenue exceeded the revenue plan for June by 4,71 million euros or 3,77 percent.
"According to the structure of collected revenues, value added tax (VAT) on imports was collected in the amount of 87,08 million euros, which is 13,25 million euros or 17,95 percent more than in June last year," the statement said.
As specified, 35,72 million euros were collected from excise duties, which is 3,57 million euros or 11,1 percent more than last year. The collection from customs duties amounted to 6,39 million euros, which is 1,26 million euros or 24,45 percent more, while the collection of coffee taxes amounted to 327,71 thousand euros, and other revenues were collected in the amount of 22,95 thousand euros.
"For the period from January 1 to June 30, collected customs revenues amounted to 650,18 million euros, which is 57,34 million euros or 9,67 percent more than in the comparable period. The collection achieved in the period from January to June exceeded the revenue plan by 24,48 million euros or 3,91 percent," the statement concluded.
