Monteput and the Safege consortium, consisting of three companies - SAFEGE doo Belgrade, SUEZ Consulting from France and SBCC doo Cetinje, have concluded a contract for the provision of consulting services within the design and construction of the second section of the Bar-Boljare highway, from Mateševo ​​to Andrijevica (PIU Support), Monteput announced today.

The state-owned company added that the value of the concluded contract is 2.400.000 euros, and that the consultants will provide support to the Monteputa Business Unit responsible for the implementation of this strategically important infrastructure project.

"The support relates to the preparation and review of tender documentation, assistance in public procurement procedures, advice on contract monitoring and resolution of potential disputes, and the implementation of the highest international environmental and social standards. This consortium was selected in a tender announced on July 30, 2024, the terms of which are aligned with the procurement rules and policies of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The engagement of experts enables the application of international standards and best practices in project management, ensuring transparency, efficiency and compliance with EBRD requirements," the statement reads.

Monteput said that on July 9, the EBRD Board of Directors officially approved a 200 million euro loan on favorable terms for the construction of the second section of the highway from Mateševo ​​to Andrijevica.

"Obtaining this loan is the result of dedicated and coordinated work by Monteput and the Government of Montenegro on fulfilling all EBRD conditions," Monteput said.
