The improved Memorandum of Understanding between the aviation authorities of Montenegro and Slovenia deepens mutual cooperation, which also contributes to supporting Montenegro's European path in the field of air transport.
The memorandum, which was innovated after a decade, was signed today in Podgorica by the directors of the civil aviation agencies of Montenegro and Slovenia, Ivan Šćekić and Miha Šnabl.
As announced by the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA), this is a document that strengthens cooperation in the field of air traffic control, safety and security between the two countries, as well as assistance in the implementation of European and international regulations.
"Joint development and flexibility in the use of documentation and human resources in the field of civil aviation have been worked out. Strengthening mutual cooperation for inspections and oversight of the aviation industry, as well as for constant harmonisation with the acquis communautaire and international standards and practices in the field of civil aviation, is particularly important," the CAA announced.
The initial Memorandum between the Montenegrin and Slovenian aviation authorities was signed on July 23, 2015 in Ljubljana.
On July 22 and 23, the Montenegrin Agency team is hosting a delegation from the Civil Aviation Agency of Slovenia, which also includes representatives of that country's aviation industry.
