Works on the Gvozd wind farm are being carried out in accordance with the planned dynamics, with full technical and operational synergy of all parties involved, announced the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG).

EPCG CEO Ivan Bulatović, together with members of management, today visited the construction site of the Gvozd wind farm, where representatives of EPCG and contractor companies analyzed the progress of the works and expressed satisfaction with the current dynamics of the project.

EPCG announced that the Gvozd wind farm has been recognized as one of the key steps towards the green energy transition and increasing the energy independence of Montenegro.

"We are satisfied with the progress of work on this strategically important project for the Montenegrin energy system. The Gvozd wind farm represents a significant step towards sustainable development and we will do everything to ensure that it is implemented within the planned deadlines, according to the highest standards. I hope that we will have the first kilowatt hours from Gvozd by the end of this year," said Bulatović.

EPCG thanked citizens for their patience and understanding during the works, which may temporarily affect traffic and local transport.

"Additional efforts have been made to minimize any potential disruption, with full respect for the local community and environmental protection," the statement concluded.
