Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić expressed satisfaction with the organization and level of visits to the beaches, as well as with the results achieved by the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management.
She said that responsible and transparent governance brings visible and measurable benefits for the state, economy and citizens.
"Despite claims that the beaches are not ready and that there are no tourists, the facts show a completely different picture. With a transparent tender, free from nepotism, which was previously a big problem, the Public Enterprise has created conditions for guests to be satisfied and for caterers to work in a proper and profitable manner," said Kordić during a tour of the Budva Riviera, as reported by Media biro.
She particularly emphasized the "significant financial result".
"The public company generates 35 million euros in revenue from beach rentals, while in 2019 or 2020, that revenue was only five million. This figure is not only impressive, but it opens up new opportunities for improving state potential and developing beaches, which directly contributes to the development of tourism in Montenegro," said Kordić.
She concluded that this management model represents a "true example of how responsible resource management" can influence the strengthening of Montenegrin tourism and the improvement of the quality of the offer.
