ŽICG Board of Directors: Support Bošković

The Board of Directors of the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro (ŽICG) provided the executive director of the company, Marina Bošković, with "unanimous support in resolving the current situation and all efforts to normalize railway traffic."

A group of ŽICG employees, consisting of more than 80 train dispatchers, remote control dispatchers (TC) and traffic dispatchers, have suspended their work and thus train traffic. They claim that they will not work until the ŽICG management invites them to negotiate a salary increase. The suspension officially began today at XNUMX am, and it is planned to stop several trains at the Podgorica, Bar and Bijelo Polje stations.

"The Board of Directors of ŽICG held an emergency meeting regarding an extraordinary event - an illegal 'work stoppage'. At the meeting, support was unanimously provided to the executive director in order to resolve the situation and all efforts to normalize railway traffic. It was also stated that any increase in wages should be within the legal framework, through negotiations with representative unions, with the aim of drafting and concluding a Collective Agreement," it was announced after the Board of Directors meeting.

The Board of Directors called on employees who signed the "work stoppage" to allow normal traffic flow, in order to prevent further damage and create conditions for constructive discussions.

Bošković previously said that they were ready to talk to the train conductors who started the traffic suspension, but that they would not agree to blackmail.
