Former Acting Director of the Investment Agency of Montenegro Snezana Đurović She has been appointed to the position of advisor to the Constituency of seven countries, including Montenegro, at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The mandate in this position lasts for three years, and the costs of her engagement are fully covered by the state of Switzerland, which currently chairs this Constituency.
This was officially stated to "Vijesti" by the Ministry of Finance.
"The selection for the position of advisor in the Constituency consisting of seven states, including the state of Montenegro in the EBRD is under the direct jurisdiction of the Bank, which selects and elects candidates from one of the member states, and upon the proposal of the selection and election of candidates by the Minister of Finance as an official with the function of Governor in the EBRD. The candidate was selected by the EBRD. The candidate is not in the function of an official representative of Montenegro, but is an official of the Bank, whose duties are to equally monitor and represent the 7 (seven) member states of the Constituency in the EBRD. The costs of the appointment and engagement for a three-year term are borne by the state of Switzerland, which chairs the Constituency. The state of Montenegro has no costs in this matter," said the department headed by the minister Novica Vuković.
As they added, based on the criteria established and assessed by the EBRD and after the processes carried out according to EBRD standards, Snežana Đurović was assessed as an outstanding candidate who possesses enviable experience for the position in question, with experience in both the economy and the public sector, including formal education and qualifications during her professional career.
When asked who had previously filled this position at the EBRD, which was taken by the former director of the Investment Agency, the answer was that this issue was not within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance.
Đurović is a professor of English language and literature, and she replaced him in the same position at the Agency. Mirjana Kojic based on the decision of the Agency Council.
The Agency announced this week that "During her career, Kojić has held a number of management and expert positions, with a special focus on international cooperation, investment promotion, strategic planning and implementation of complex international projects," and that before being appointed to head the Agency, Kojić headed the International Cooperation Sector at the Music Center of Montenegro.
