Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević and her associates visited the Municipality of Petnjica, where she discussed with the municipal leadership the implemented and initiated infrastructure projects during the previous year.
As stated in a statement by the Ministry of Transport, significant efforts have been made to improve the transport infrastructure in Petnjica over the past year.
"Recently, the rehabilitation of the landslide, which was located on the Berane - Petnjica main road, was completed. Also, a few days ago, the reconstruction of the Petnjica - Bioča road, nine kilometers long, began, which is of strategic importance for connecting Petnjica with the rest of Montenegro. This road, upon completion of the works, will shorten the distance and enable faster and safer communication between the citizens of Petnjica with Bijelo Polje and other municipalities in the north," it was announced.
Vukićević, it was added, emphasized that the Ministry of Transport is committed to further investing in the development of road infrastructure in Petnjica in northern Montenegro, in order to improve the quality of life of citizens, stimulate economic development and create conditions for young people to stay in this area.
