The Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM) today celebrates 12 years of work, during which it has become, as its representatives said, a recognized voice of the business community, a place for gathering and connecting leaders, companies and entrepreneurs.
AMM said that they were founded in 2013, and the first Board of Directors was constituted at the end of October of the same year. Since then, AMM has developed into a strong organization that connects, inspires, and promotes best practices in management and leadership.
"It is particularly noteworthy that the Board of Directors and Presidency of AMM are comprised of recognized leaders of our most important companies - individuals with exceptional biographies, competencies, and leadership positions in their companies. It is precisely this quality and credibility that give strength to the organization, which has grown into a true business and social movement," the statement said.
The growth of AMM is, it is added, particularly valuable because it is based on voluntary membership and volunteer activism. Companies and their leaders have recognized that by giving strength to AMM, they are actually strengthening both their own visions and the vision of a developed Montenegro.
"More and more young managers and leaders are joining the Association because they see that knowledge, innovation and responsibility are valued here," said the AMM.
Among the key activities, the first European Congress of Managers in Montenegro stands out, which brought together more than 400 participants from the countries of the region and Europe, the CEO Forum, whose members are CEOs of domestic and foreign companies operating in Montenegro, as well as the traditional Network Night as a place for useful lectures and networking of managers.
"We proudly highlight our initiative and support for the formation and work of the Association of Women Leaders, as an innovative platform for connecting women not only from business, but also from social life, and for increasing their influence in the community and society as a whole," the statement said.
The launch of the Digital Transformation Committee and the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies Committee demonstrated AMM's focus on the future, resulting in the organization of three regional summits in the field of digital technology Digitalon, as well as the first National AI Conference, which is being prepared again for the end of this year. The Human Resources Committee and the PR and Marketing Committee have been formed within the Association, which significantly contribute to the development and implementation of modern human resources management practices and the improvement of corporate culture, communication and branding of member companies.
"The annual AMM award for the most successful managers, entrepreneurs and employers is indispensable, and has become the most prestigious business recognition at the national level. It is awarded under the auspices of the Government of Montenegro, with the support of significant business organizations, companies and the media. It is not only a recognition for individuals and companies, but also a symbol of joint commitment to a better business environment and the promotion of leadership," said the AMM.
Of particular value is the fact that, as they said, next year the awards will be presented for the tenth time, marking ten years of continuity and reputation of this recognized award.
"A strategic project was launched in January - the AMM Academy for Leadership, Management and Corporate Governance. The Academy is planned to be a center of knowledge and excellence, dedicated to the education and training of managers and leaders through modern programs, mentoring and the exchange of international experiences. Nearly 40 renowned domestic and foreign institutions, companies and individuals applied to the public call for cooperation, which confirms the importance of this initiative," the statement said.
In the past period, fulfilling their mission, awareness was raised about the importance of good governance and responsible leadership, but also that constant improvement of managerial and leadership knowledge and skills is a prerequisite for success. Today, governance is not only viewed as a function, but as a value that shapes both companies and society.
"We see Montenegro as a country with strong potential, but also as a country that must rely on knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit to turn that potential into results. Politics often divides, while economic development can unite. That is why we believe that the future of Montenegro lies in the economy and in people who have the knowledge and courage to take responsibility for decision-making," the AMM believes.
A special pride, they said, is the fact that AMM has remained completely outside party divisions all these years. From the first day, it was emphasized that the organization deals with the economy and the leaders who create it. Consistency in this mission has brought the organization a respected reputation, because it is known that AMM is not a political factor, but is an indispensable voice of the profession.
"Discussions with all relevant stakeholders have always been conducted only about the economy, reforms and the business environment. They are equal and based on concrete proposals. This is precisely what makes the difference - AMM is not part of politics, but it is a partner when it comes to building better conditions for development," the statement said.
In the coming period, it is planned to further involve young leaders and provide opportunities for their development. It is also planned to expand international influence through projects and cooperation in the region and Europe.
"The work of AMM has also been recognized internationally - the organization is a member and respected voice in the European Confederation of Managers, and strong cooperation in the region and excellent relations with diplomatic and consular missions in Montenegro have been achieved. This opens the door for members to cooperation that goes beyond national boundaries," the AMM said.
The mission of the Association of Managers of Montenegro is to build a community based on knowledge, leadership and responsibility, because the strength of knowledge and economy is the strength of Montenegro.
"The message is clear: the leaders and entrepreneurs of Montenegro have shown that they know, can and want more. AMM will continue to be their strong voice, their place of connection and a platform for the vision of a developed Montenegro," said AMM.
They thanked all members, companies, institutions, partners and individuals, as well as the media who have followed and supported their work for years. With their support, AMM has become what it is today.
"We are convinced that together we can build an even more prosperous community, and our wish for the future is to be even better, more dedicated and more innovative," the statement concludes.
