The behavior of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the management of Crnogorska plovidba, in which they lied and deceived representatives of the EOS Group from Turkey, is scandalous and seriously damages the international reputation of Montenegro, said today Social Democrat (SD) MP and representative of the European Union Nikola Zirojević.
"Vijesti" reported earlier today that the management of the shipping company "Crnogorska plovidba" and the leadership of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, headed by Minister Filip Radulović, deceived the potential buyer of the company's ships, EOS Group from Turkey, that allegedly due to the annual vacation and the inaction of the courts in Montenegro, the mortgage on the ship "Kotor" could not be registered, which was the condition of the Turks to pay the down payment to Montenegrin for the purchase of that and the ship "Dvadeset prvi maj".
Zirojević said that in addition to creating a negative image of Montenegro among our partners and friends, this behavior, bearing in mind that the ships were ultimately sold to the Danish company K/S Navision Group instead of the EOS Group for almost 3 million euros less, raises suspicions of corruption and intentional harm to the state.
"I hereby call on the competent Special State Prosecutor's Office to deal with this case as urgently as possible and determine the existence of elements of the criminal offense of abuse of official position or another. At the same time, I call on Minister Filip Radulović and the management of Crnogorska plovidba to submit their irrevocable resignations, because after such a scandal, they can no longer remain in those positions," Zirojević concluded.
