The Government today appointed Svetlana Jovanović as Executive Director of the Spatial Planning Agency of Montenegro.
Jovanović was the head of the development of the Spatial Plan of Montenegro (PPCG) until 2040.
This Agency was established pursuant to the Law on Spatial Planning.
"One of the key solutions of the new spatial planning policy contained in the Spatial Planning Law is that the development of planning documents, which regulate space as the most important and significant resource, should be the exclusive responsibility of the State, or local self-government. Accordingly, Article 34 of the Law stipulates that planning documents are developed by a company that meets the requirements prescribed by this Law, namely a company established by the Government for the development of state planning documents, and a company established by the assembly of a local self-government unit for the development of local planning documents. In addition to the work on the development of a state planning document, this company obtains data, materials and other documents necessary for the development of a planning document, informs the public about the development of a planning document, performs a review of local planning documents, as well as other tasks determined by law and the act of establishment," the Ministry of Spatial Planning announced earlier.
Half a million euros have been provided for the establishment of this Agency within the budget of the relevant ministry.
