The company "Eagle Hills Montenegro", backed by Arab businessman Mohamed Alabar, today signed a joint venture agreement with the company "Cungu & Co" from Ulcinj, managed by Nazif Cungu, and this agreement envisages the establishment of the company "Eagle Hills Ecovillage Shas Podgorica".
This company will develop a world-renowned eco-tourism destination in Ulcinj.
This is stated in a statement from the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro", signed by Ana Martinović, Director of Communications, Marketing and Institutional Cooperation at that company.
Vijesti reported earlier today that a delegation from the company "Eagle Hills" owned by Arab billionaire Mohamed Alabar is expected to conclude a joint investment agreement with one or more private land owners on the slopes of Lake Šasko in Ulcinj today.
The company "Eagle Hills Montenegro" did not respond to "Vijesti's" question regarding this arrangement.
"The issues you addressed are outside the mandate of my responsibilities in the company. Namely, I do not deal with these matters, you must ask the company's management in Abu Dhabi," Martinović replied to "Vijesti" last night.

Today's press release from the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro" states that the signed agreement represents an important step in realizing the vision of "EcoVillage Shas", a sustainable tourist complex designed to unite hospitality, nature and cultural heritage.
"The project will include environmentally friendly accommodation, wellness and hospitality concepts, as well as recreational facilities, offering an authentic Montenegrin experience, while preserving the unique natural environment of the Šas area in Ulcinj," the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro" said in a statement today, signed by Martinović.
The statement added that Alabar said on the occasion of signing the agreement that today is a great beginning.
"We assure you that we will create something unique and special, usually everything you start from scratch, it has to take 12 months for everything to go right with the architects, designers... Construction would be 24 to 30 months. But what we will create will be something so special, a place that when you come to Montenegro you will have to visit, and once you visit it you will not want to leave," said Alabar.
The statement states that in addition to its tourism potential, "EcoVillage Shas" will be a model of environmentally sensitive development in the region.
"By protecting the biodiversity of Lake Šasko and preserving the cultural heritage known as the 'Balkan Atlantis', the project aims to enhance Montenegro's global reputation as a destination where nature and history are preserved," said the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro".
Nazif Cungu, on behalf of the company "Cungu & Co", said that they had been waiting for a strategic partner for a long time and that they believed that Ulcinj would receive an admirable investment with this project.
"From today's signing, I think everyone will hear about Sas and that everyone will come, and I hope that we will be good hosts like we have been so far. This is very good for our entrepreneurs, we will do our utmost to engage them," said Cungu.
Representative of the company "Bond", Nikola Kostić, who is a partner in this business, believes that this is a strong investment step for the whole of Montenegro.
"We are happy that such an investment is being realized in Montenegro and we believe that this is just the beginning of many others that will happen in cooperation with Mr. Alabaro. As for this project, we believe that it is an incredible diamond in Montenegro, we are happy that we have recognized it and that the Balkans, Europe and the whole world will hear about it," said Kostić.
The company "Eagle Hills Montenegro" said that "EcoVillage Shas" will simultaneously stimulate the local economy through the creation of new jobs, cooperation with local businesses and the creation of new opportunities for the residents of Ulcinj.
