The previous acting director of the "Communal Enterprise" Budva, Milan Perović, has been appointed acting director of the largest municipal company - "Water Supply and Sewerage" Budva.
This is a decision of the Board of Directors, as confirmed to Vijesti by the Municipality of Budva.
Perović is one of the key figures in the political group "Budva our city", led by the current mayor of the municipality, Nikola Jovanović.
Perović took over the management of the "Communal Company" during the turbulent events of the summer of 2024, when the then acting director Predrag Ivanović was dismissed, and did not allow political opponents from the ranks of "For the Future of Budva" to take control of the strongest municipal company.
Former political comrades, divided into two factions ("Budva our city" and "For the buzz of Budva"), during that period, which was marked by poor waste management, so that Budva was buried with garbage at the height of the season, filed a series of criminal charges against each other, which remained without an epilogue.
Perović retained control of the company, and managed to hire almost 100 workers permanently towards the end of his term at "Komunalno".
Now he has been assigned to manage "Vodovod", which until now was managed by another member of Jovanović's group, Mladen Lakčević.
Perović is taking over "Vodovod" in a not-at-all-good financial situation - the company ended last year with a loss of 1,4 million euros, with losses on the network reaching up to 60 percent.
