The nudist resort on Ada achieved significantly better results in all business segments this summer than last year, and is one of the rare success stories of the season, in which most tourism workers were mostly making losses.
Armand Mila, executive director of HTP "Ulcinjska rivijera", within which the nudist resort operates, said that compared to last year, revenues increased by 25 percent, while the number of overnight stays was two thousand higher.
"This indicates a serious and responsible approach by management, considering that, by all accounts, the season was generally weaker by 15-20 percent compared to last year," Mila told "Vijesti".
He stated that improving infrastructure, renovating several accommodation facilities, putting sports fields into operation, digitalizing the system through a unified centralized program, a free Wi-Fi network throughout the entire settlement, as well as improving the beach offerings and building a beach bar, along with installing a ramp, have significantly contributed to Ada attracting a larger number of guests.
"These investments and improvements have enabled us to create a more attractive and comfortable environment for our visitors. Renovated accommodation facilities and sports fields contribute to a more diverse offer, while the improved offer on the beach and the beach bar further enrich the experience of staying. Thanks to these activities, we can boast of increased tourist interest, which has contributed to the growth in the number of visitors, and therefore the greater success of our unique tourism product," Mila pointed out, emphasizing that cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Government is at an enviable level.
RAMP FOR BETTER SAFETY
He recalled that installing a ramp at the entrance to the settlement had a positive impact on the company's business and further improved the sense of security, thus creating a pleasant environment for all who want to enjoy the nature and freedom that Ada offers:
"Both in financial terms, where we recorded an increase in revenue of almost 100 percent compared to last year with more affordable prices, and in terms of increasing the safety and security of the settlement. The ramp serves to control entry to Ada both physically and through detailed video surveillance with a license plate recognition system, with the aim of ensuring that naturists can feel safe and comfortable. In this way, we allow guests to enjoy their stay without worries, knowing that access is regulated and that the privacy and safety of all visitors is maintained."
He pointed out that "Ulcinjska Rivijera" has no debts to financial institutions, nor to workers based on salaries and contributions, which, he claims, are paid regularly, while debts to suppliers have been reduced to a minimum:
“Unfortunately, after 17 years, we are facing employee lawsuits resulting from poor management since 2009, not including the previous one. In accordance with the development policy of this management, we will treat all problems equally and resolve them.”
He stated that it is certainly necessary to constantly work on improving the offer, content and activities, especially during off-season periods, in order to attract more visitors at different times.
"We must actively collect feedback from guests during the season, in order to understand their needs and expectations, and based on that, adapt a more diverse offer for the upcoming summer," said Mila.
2.000 more overnight stays than last year were recorded on Ada this season
In accordance with the Government's conclusion, as well as the previous agreement between the Ministry of Spatial Planning and DOO Zaštita Spatial Montenegro, Mila stated that immediately after the end of the tourist season, the beach will be replenished.
"These measures are necessary to preserve the attractiveness of Ada Bojana as a tourist destination and protect the coast and facilities from further damage," he explained.
They will also receive a portion of the income from the land lease.
Mila said that the JP Morsko dobro has already announced a tender for the houses on the left bank of the right arm of the Bojana River, which have been under the jurisdiction of HTP "Ulcinjska Rivijera" since this year.
"The tender has been completed, and the funds will be collected proportionally, i.e. JP Morsko dobro will redirect a certain amount to 'Ulcinjska Riviera'. An agreement on this issue has been concluded between HTP 'Ulcinjska Rivijera' and JP Morsko dobro, which finally defines the rights and obligations. We expect this entire process to be completed by the end of the year at the latest," Mila pointed out.
