The organizational and financial independence of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) is important, because the capacity to attract and retain competent personnel with aviation experience is crucial for the reliable and effective work of the Agency, in order to maintain EU standards and guarantee the safety and security of Montenegrin airspace, said the Ambassador of France to Montenegro Anne-Marie Maske.
She was hosted by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Ivan Šćekić, to discuss priorities in the field of aviation and cooperation with France, the CAA announced.
"The contribution of the Civil Aviation Agency to the harmonization of Montenegrin regulations with EU aviation regulations, as well as the implementation of European and international standards, is essential. The Civil Aviation Agency is a long-term partner of French aviation stakeholders, and our common goal is to preserve and improve the safety and security of air traffic," emphasized the French Ambassador to Montenegro.
Šćekić, among other things, emphasized the importance of cooperation with French partners, especially in the professional development of employees and the development of the security system.
"The support that France has been providing to our supervisors for years through training in Toulouse is a valuable contribution to strengthening knowledge, competencies and standards," he specified and thanked the Agency for the visit.
The interlocutors, as stated in the statement, agreed that there is room for strengthening cooperation, especially in the field of unmanned aircraft (drones), which is of importance to the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Management Agency (SMATSA).
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director of SMATSA, Rajko Uskoković, who pointed out the importance of institutional cooperation and support from French partners.
