The hearing of the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović, and the head of the state-owned maritime company Crnogorska plovidba from Kotor before the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget of the Parliament of Montenegro will be held on November 17.
This was confirmed to "Vijesti" today by the chairman of that Committee, MP Boris Mugoša (Social Democrats).
The subject of the hearing will be the controversial sale of both Crnogorska plovidba ships - the handysize bulk carriers "Kotor" and "Dvadesetprvi maj" which were sold in mid-September to the Danish company Navisios Group for a total of $13,25 million, which is drastically below the objective market value of the two ships, each of 35.000 tons, built in 2012.
In addition to Minister Radulović, as Mugoša said, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crnogorska plovidba, Petar Janković, and the company's outgoing CEO Vladimir Tadić, as well as representatives of the Association of Sea Captains of Montenegro from Kotor, which initiated this control hearing, will also be heard before the Committee.
Incidentally, regarding the sale of Crnogorska plovidba's ships, the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) has already formed a criminal case and launched an investigation to determine whether any criminal offenses within the jurisdiction of the SDT were possibly committed in this process.
