Ministry of Economic Development: JKT portal makes business easier

Montenegro has taken an important step towards a more modern and transparent business environment by launching the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) portal, the Ministry of Economic Development announced.

"In this way, entrepreneurs and service providers can now find all the information about procedures, regulations and competent institutions necessary to start or carry out their activities in one place," the statement said.

JKT Portal It provides easy access to data on business registration, recognition of qualifications, costs, licenses and regulations valid in Montenegro and within the EU market.

"This significantly facilitates business operations and speeds up the process of exercising the rights and obligations of service providers," the statement said.

JKT, as explained, represents an important step in the process of digital transformation of public administration and contributes to creating a more favorable business environment in accordance with European standards. The portal connects state institutions and the economy, making information accessible, clear and understandable to anyone who wants to start or expand their business.

"In this way, Montenegro strengthens institutional support for the economy and fulfills its obligations under Chapter 3 - Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services in negotiations with the European Union," the statement said.

JKT is important because it simplifies business operations – all information about the necessary steps, documents, and regulations is available in one place.

"JKT saves time and money - there is no need to go to multiple institutions and search for different sources. It supports entrepreneurship and digital transformation - JKT is a digital tool that connects the state and business. It is aligned with EU standards - it fulfills the obligations of the Services Directive and contributes to the closure of Chapter 3," the statement said.

The goal of the JKT portal, it is added, is to provide citizens and businesses with easier access to information and reduce bureaucratic obstacles. Everything that once required many steps is now available with one click.
