The total state budget with deposits for the coming year is planned to amount to 3,77 billion euros. This is stated in the Budget Bill for 2026, which was discussed at today's Government session.
According to a document seen by "Vijesti", original revenues amount to 3,074 billion euros, while expenditures are projected at 3,35 billion. The budget deficit is planned at 278 million euros, while the item "debt repayment" is 383,59 million euros.
According to the data from that document, the state treasury will be short by a total of around 704 million euros.
Total receipts in the amount of 3,77 billion euros are distributed as follows: current budget 1,60 billion, reserves 39,86 million, state funds budget 1,404 billion, the capital budget is projected at 300 million euros, while the "transactions and financing" item is 430 million euros.
These are not final figures, as some may be changed during the Government session itself.
The Proposal for a Decision on Borrowing was also accepted.
After the session, the Government announced that the Draft Law on the Budget of Montenegro for 2026 had been established.
At the session chaired by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, as announced, the Proposal for a Decision on Montenegro's borrowing for 2026 was also accepted.
They said that the material will be available after technical editing, while the presentation of the Budget Bill will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 11 a.m. in the Government building.
