Energy Scouts were awarded certificates by the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) as part of the Young Energy Europe 3.0 project, which promotes green transition, carbon dioxide emission reduction, and sustainable practices in companies across Europe.

During the event, projects of Montenegrin companies in the field of resource efficiency were presented and the three best were selected, which will be presented to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) of Germany, which is behind Young Energy Europe, in June of next year, at the gathering of the best energy scouts in Europe in Berlin.

First place was won by the Čelebić company with its Wealth from Waste project. Second place went to the Luštica Development company with its Green Lustica Initiative waste management improvement project, while third place was shared by the Kotor–Tivat WWTP, a project to improve the energy efficiency of wastewater treatment plants, and the Možura Regional Landfill, a project to reactivate sanitary vats.

The representative of the winning team, Dubravka Vujović, said that their project ideas relate to optimizing energy use in their olive grove and future oil mill.

"Optimization refers to rationalization in terms of electricity bill costs and the introduction of circular economy principles. What was presented as the project goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, which we achieve to a large extent by replacing systems that run on electricity with systems that use biomass and solar energy," said Vujović.

In addition to the above, projects by the ETG Group, the Investment Agency, Alarm Automatika and Vodovoda i kanalizacije Podgorica were also presented, and their representatives received certificates.

The representative of the PKCG Projects Sector, Milena Rmuš, pointed out that this year's nominated projects demonstrated an exceptionally high level of quality.

"We tried to recognize projects that stand out for their innovation and can contribute to a more modern and sustainable business," said Rmuš.

The Deputy Director of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which is a partner in the project, and the Director of the Services Sector, Milan Krstić, said that they are very satisfied with the implementation of the Young Energy Europe project in Montenegro.

"This year is even better in that sense than last year. We can see people's serious willingness to participate and nominate more than one project, thus demonstrating their desire for change," said Krstić.
