The average salary without taxes and contributions in October, according to Monstat data, amounted to 1.016 euros and remained at the same level as in September.
The average net salary in October increased by 7,6 percent compared to the same month last year.
The average gross salary in October in Montenegro was 1.211 euros.
"If we take into account that consumer prices in October recorded a decrease of 0,2 percent compared to September, it follows that real wages increased by 0,2 percent for the same period," the statement said.
Average net earnings in October, compared to the previous month, recorded growth in the sectors of artistic entertainment and recreational activities by 2,4 percent, financial and insurance activities by 2,3 percent, other service activities by two percent, manufacturing by 1,9 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and professional, scientific and technical activities by 1,8 percent each, mining and quarrying by 0,5 percent, health and social protection by 0,2 percent, construction and education by 0,1 percent each.
The decline in average net earnings in October, compared to the previous month, was recorded in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fishing by 4,3 percent, real estate by 3,1 percent, administrative and support service activities by 2,2 percent, public administration and defense: compulsory social security by 1,6 percent, accommodation and food services by 1,3 percent, transport and storage by 1,1 percent, information and communication by 0,5 percent, wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 0,4 percent and water supply and wastewater management by 0,3 percent.
