The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS), in accordance with the rules and procedures of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has officially announced an international tender for the selection of the most favorable contractor for the implementation of the SCADA/ADMS project (Phase 1).

CEDIS announced that the implementation of the SCADA/ADMS system represents one of the most significant investments in the technological development of the electricity distribution infrastructure in Montenegro.

"The system enables advanced real-time network control and monitoring, faster detection and elimination of faults, improved operational safety, reduced losses, better maintenance and investment planning, and optimization of network operations in accordance with modern European standards," the statement said.

This project, as explained, represents a key step in the modernization and digitalization of the electricity distribution system in Montenegro, enabling advanced network automation, faster incident management, more efficient planning, and increased reliability of electricity supply for all users.

"This project is expected to significantly improve the quality and stability of electricity supply to citizens and businesses, reduce the duration of outages, and raise the level of operational readiness of the power system," the statement added.

The tender was published through the EBRD's Electronic Procurement Portal (ECEPP) and is available to all interested companies that meet the requirements of the tender documentation.

The deadline for submitting bids is February 10th of next year.

The tender documentation is available free of charge via the ECEPP portal at the following link: https://ecepp.ebrd.com/respond/7Y3TQQW6K3

All registered participants can access the materials immediately. Unregistered participants can gain access after a short registration.

CEDIS invited all interested and qualified entities to download the tender documentation via the EBRD ECEPP portal and submit their bids in accordance with the prescribed terms and deadlines.

"In order to support the development of the energy sector in Montenegro, the EBRD approved a loan of EUR 35 million to the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System in January for the establishment of a new SCADA/ADMS system (Advanced Distribution Network Management System) and the procurement of new multifunctional meters," said CEDIS.

The project aims to benefit from a grant from the European Union Investment Framework for the Western Balkans in the amount of five million EUR. The loan agreement was signed by the Head of the EBRD for Montenegro, Remon Zakaria, the Executive Director of CEDIS, Vladimir Ivanović, and the then Director of EPCG, Ivan Bulatović.
