In the coming days, the Albanian Forum will submit to the parliamentary procedure a single Bill on the Annual Allowance, which introduces the obligation that at the end of each year every employee in Montenegro receives an allowance in the amount of 50 percent of the average salary and every pensioner in Montenegro receives an allowance in the amount of 50 percent of the average pension, said the leader of the coalition, Nik Đeljošaj.
He explained that this annual allowance would be paid with the December salary and December pension, and would be completely exempt from all taxes and contributions, both state and local. This ensures that the full amount ends up with citizens, without any reduction and without administrative burdens, Đeljošaj added.
"The goal of the law is clear: that workers and pensioners, two categories that carry and have carried the development of Montenegro, receive strong and direct financial support precisely at the time when costs are highest at the end of the year. This is a European standard and a model of social policy that the Albanian Forum proposes as a new practice in Montenegro: timely, fair and universal assistance to all households. Given the importance and urgency of this measure, I expect the President of the Parliament of Montenegro to schedule a special session dedicated only to this law, so that the parliament can enable the supplement to be paid already this year, together with the December income. Our workers and pensioners must not wait until next year to receive the support they need today. The Albanian Forum shows with this law that it is committed to the real needs of citizens: living standards, economic security, fair distribution and respect for all who contribute to society," it states, the statement of the leaders of the Albanian Forum states.
The coalition called on all parliamentary groups to support the law, because as they said, it is not a party law, but a social interest law that benefits every worker and every pensioner in Montenegro.
"In the coming days, the Albanian Forum deputies will formally submit the proposal to the parliamentary procedure. Workers and pensioners must be at the center of economic policy. That is the message of this law and the message of the Albanian Forum," concluded Đeljošaj.
