Due to the transport of elements for the Gvozd Wind Farm from Bar to Nikšić, traffic has been intermittently stopped at several locations between the two cities for several nights.
Traffic is being stopped, accompanied by traffic police, mainly at all roundabouts, turns and intersections on this stretch.
Several locations and traffic infrastructure on the road from Bar to Podgorica and in three other municipalities were excavated or removed in September so that the windmills could reach Nikšić from the port of Bar.
The entire road on this stretch is being adapted to accommodate the passage of windmills and related equipment, "Vijesti" was confirmed in September this year by the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG), which stated that billboards, traffic signs and street lighting would also be removed.
This is equipment that forms an integral part of the wind generator, blades, housing, main shaft, poles... All equipment will be transported to the location using specialized transport equipment, EPCG said at the time, and the transport will be carried out at night.
