The Europe Now Movement (PES) parliamentary group has called on all proponents of legislative initiatives that prescribe social measures, which significantly affect budget allocations, to coordinate these measures with the Social Council, as the competent and legally recognized body for public policies in that area.
In this context, they said, they expect the Bill on the Annual Allowance to be previously agreed with the Social Council, especially since its proposer is Deputy Prime Minister Nik Đeljošaj, also a member of the Council, and because this is already an established practice when drafting the "Europe Now" 1 and 2 programs.
"Also, after the Deputy Prime Minister coordinates his initiative with the Social Council, and proposes and ensures the sustainability and revenue side of the planned measure, the PES parliamentary group will consider the proposal of the Deputy Prime Minister and his representative in the Parliament of Montenegro with special respect," the statement reads.
