Aviation revenues of the Airport of Montenegro, according to the latest projections, amount to almost 49 million euros, while operating profit is around 17 million euros, announced Executive Director Roko Tolić.
At the New Days of Better Tourism conference, held in Budva, he said that this makes this year the best in operational results in the Airport's operations so far.
"The current year is a record year for Airports of Montenegro, both in terms of the number of passengers served and in terms of financial performance," said Tolić.
He pointed out that this year, ACG will also allocate the largest amount for the Incentive Scheme - i.e. discounts for airlines flying to Montenegro, in the amount of over 13 million euros. This is one of the motivations for airlines to open new routes, expand their network, and grow in the number of rotations and passengers.
ACG recalled that for the first time since its founding, the company served over three million passengers in one year.
In the coming month or month and a half, ahead of the opening of the Wizz Air base, Montenegro Airports will be advertising for the employment of 130 people in operational services at Podgorica Airport. The competition is for the positions of ground stewards/stewardesses, transport workers, and hygienists.
During the next summer season, which begins in aviation at the end of March and lasts until the end of October, Podgorica Airport will be connected to around 70 destinations, and Tivat Airport to around 60.
