The Board of Directors of the Association of Managers (AMM), the umbrella leadership and management business organization in Montenegro, has announced a public competition for the annual award to the most successful managers, entrepreneurs and employers for this year.
The award is being presented for the tenth anniversary.
AMM said that over the past decade, the annual AMM award has grown into the most significant national business recognition given by the profession. It recognizes leadership that knows how to manage, management that creates value, and decisions that have a long-term impact on companies, employees, and the overall economic environment.
"The award does not only celebrate results, it focuses on leadership, quality of management, the ability to run companies in a socially responsible, stable and developmental manner, as well as the willingness to take responsibility in times of change," the statement said.
Under the traditional institutional patronage of the Government, with the support of business organizations and companies, the annual AMM award represents the pinnacle of professional recognition for managers, entrepreneurs, employers and institutions who have set high standards of modern business this year.
The annual AMM awards are presented in the categories of Manager of the Year in micro, small, medium, large enterprises and joint-stock companies, in enterprises that are majority-owned by the state, public institutions, establishments and local governments.
Awards are also given in the categories of Manager of the Year in the field of corporate governance, Young Manager of the Year under 35, Project Manager of the Year, Best Managed Project, Lifetime Achievement Award, Entrepreneur of the Year, Best Institution/Company for Education and Training of Managers, as well as Employer of the Year - the best employer tailored to children and families.
"Nominations for the awards can be submitted by AMM members and partners, business associations, companies, unions, public institutions, local governments, professional organizations, as well as individuals. Candidates can be Montenegrin and foreign citizens who do business on the territory of Montenegro," said AMM.
The deadline for submitting proposals is February 16 of the following year.
Applications are submitted via e-mail to office@amm.co.me, with the note Nomination, or by filling out the online form on the website www.amm.co.me.
The decision on laureates and special awards is made by the AMM Board of Directors, upon the proposal of the Association Presidency.
The gala ceremony for the AMM Annual Awards will be held in early May next year, when key leaders of leadership and management processes in Montenegro will gather for the tenth time.
"Ten years of this award confirm one simple fact: a strong economy is based on good management and responsible leadership. That is why AMM, in its anniversary year, invites us to nominate those who have shown this year that success is not a coincidence, but the result of knowledge, responsibility and a clear vision," the statement concludes.
