The Tax Administration of Montenegro announced that on January 12, 2026, it will launch a new integrated information system developed as part of the "Tax Administration Reform in Montenegro" project. As part of the project, taxpayers will be able to access the Tax Administration portal at the following address: https://irms.tax.gov.me/.
In this regard, as added in the announcement, the reception of parties, requests and documentation in the CRPS and other organizational units of the Tax Administration will be carried out using the current system until 11:00 a.m. on December 31, 2025. The CRPS and TAXIS portals will not be operational from the same date.
Considering the above, and due to objective technical circumstances, IOPPD reports and VAT returns for the accounting period December 2025 submitted by January 30, 2026 will be considered to be timely submitted.
The postponement of the deadline for filing returns does not affect the legally prescribed deadline for paying tax liabilities, the Tax Administration said.
In the period from December 31, 2025 to January 12, 2026, Tax Administration officials, together with the contractor, will prepare for the transition to the production environment of the new system and data migration to it.
The Tax Administration thanked taxpayers and other users for their understanding, noting that in the coming period, all services will be available for support with the aim of a successful transition to the new information system.
