The regional road R-10 Đurđevića Tara - Mojkovac, after the completion of the main works on the rehabilitation of the landslide in the village of Sokolovina, will be opened to traffic tomorrow.
The Traffic Administration announced that all structural elements have been completed, as well as works on waterproofing and creating a top layer over the gallery, which has created the conditions for this section to be reopened to traffic. As soon as weather conditions allow, asphalt works will be completed, as well as work on traffic signals.
"The decision to open the road to traffic was made taking into account that increased traffic intensity is expected during the upcoming holidays, as well as the fact that this road represents an important connection to the ski center on Durmitor, especially during the winter tourist period," the statement said.
The opening of this road is of particular importance for the local population, as it facilitates the daily movement of citizens, as well as access to health, education and other basic services.
"We appeal to all road users to adjust their driving to the road conditions, to be especially careful on sections where work is being carried out, and to strictly respect the posted traffic signs," the statement concludes.
