The Customs Administration achieved gross revenue collection of 1,41 billion euros last year, which is around 121,74 million euros or 9,41 percent more than in the same period in 2024.
The Customs Administration announced that the revenue plan for the period from January to December last year was exceeded by 35,71 million euros, or 2,59 percent.
According to the structure of collected revenues, all types of duties saw an increase in revenue collection. The most significant increase in revenue was achieved from value added tax (VAT) on imports, which was collected in the amount of 930,44 million euros, which is 78,83 million euros more, or 9,26 percent, compared to 2024.
Excise duty collected EUR 411,51 million, which is EUR 33,1 million or 8,75 percent more than in 2024. Customs duty collection amounted to EUR 69,99 million, which is EUR 9,57 million or 15,85 percent more, while coffee tax collection amounted to EUR 2,8 million, and other revenues were collected in the amount of EUR 265,93 thousand.
"The total customs revenue collection for December last year amounted to 123,65 million euros, which is 14,41 million euros, or 13,19 percent, more than in 2024. Compared to the plan estimate, gross revenues are 4,2 million euros, or 3,52 percent, higher," the statement specifies.
The Customs Administration, as it is concluded, aims to ensure fair and efficient collection of all budget revenues through consistent application of the law and improved administrative procedures, thereby contributing to an increase in total budget revenues and directly contributing to a stable and sustainable fiscal policy.
