The price of the second section of the highway, which costs around 700 million euros and is 23,5 kilometers long, has increased significantly in the last few years, which is why a precise answer needs to be given about the reasons for such an increase, said Social Democrats (SD) MP Boris Mugoša.
"It's great news that we are approaching the start of construction of the second section of the highway. Of course, it is important that the authorities provide clear and unambiguous answers to a few questions," Mugoša wrote on his X profile.
He said the price is now almost 30 million per kilometer.
"It doesn't occur to me to discuss this as the former opposition did during the construction of the first phase, because blanket and daily political interpretations are not my style. We all know how much more complex the terrain configuration and the route of the first phase itself was," Mugoša said.
He asked whether the second phase had to be done according to the yellow FIDIC, or preliminary design, and what was the reason that over ten years after the signing of the contract for the first phase, the main design for the second phase had not been done.
Monteput announced that the contractor for the design and construction of the second section of the highway from Mateševo to Andrijevica will be the Powerchina - Stecol - Pccd consortium, worth 693,97 million euros.
