The State Ski Center Kolašin 1600 was visited by around 6.000 people over the weekend, claims Bojan Medenica, executive director of the Ski Resorts of Montenegro (SCG).
This fact, he says, is something to be proud of, but also an indicator that the state ski resort in Kolašin is recognized as good.
Medenica also praised the organization at the ski center.
"Over the weekend, the organization was at the highest level, from parking to trails and infrastructure. The new precipitation that has been announced will definitely make this one of the best seasons in Kolašin. It remains a pity that the vacation was not extended, those seven days would have meant a lot to all of us. I believe that next year's winter vacation should be planned now, with certain corrections. This year, winter centers used only seven days of the winter vacation," Medenica told "Vijesti".
Medenica is certain that the season will continue in the same "rhythm" when it comes to the number of visitors, announcing a rich program for children and for all visitors who are not on the mountain just for winter sports.
"The weekend behind us shows that Kolašin, Montenegro, has a ski center of European and even world proportions. We expect artificial snow and night skiing for next season," says the executive director of SCG.
During the weekend, eight trails were in operation at the Kolašin 1600 Ski Center, accompanied by a six-seater K8, two ski lifts, and a trail for beginners.
Due to the unimproved terrain around pillar number 4, on the six-seater K7, that part of the infrastructure is not functional, including the trails that follow the cable car, and this year, like last year, the offer of the state and neighboring private ski resorts is not connected.
