The continuation of the construction of the Bar - Boljare highway strengthens the strategic partnership between Montenegro and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and this is just one in a series of joint projects for the coming period.
This is the message from the Prime Minister's meeting. Milojko Spajić and the President of the EBRD Odil Rene Baso, which was held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Prime Minister's Office announced.
It was assessed that the tender for the construction of the second section of the highway from Mateševo to Andrijevica, led by the EBRD, was conducted in a responsible and transparent manner.
"During the talks, potential forms of cooperation in various areas were discussed, and the EBRD said that they are ready to participate to a large extent in the Government's projects, the aim of which is to improve transport infrastructure, develop the energy and tourism sectors, as well as agriculture. It was concluded that the accelerated and visible success of reform processes on Montenegro's path to the EU is a clear signal to the EBRD to invest in Montenegro," the statement reads.
