Delić and Kankaraš said that they filed the report with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Rožaje, and that it is the result of a large number of reports of illegal logging in the Rožaje area reported by citizens in that town, and the first in a series of criminal reports that will be filed in the coming period, after the evidence and relevant documentation for other management units are completed.
"On this occasion, we would like to highlight the very professional relationship and cooperation with the Police Directorate - Regional Unit Rožaje, which itself has received a large number of reports of illegal logging and forest destruction. It is very important that, at the request of the Police Directorate, a field inspection was carried out by a forestry inspector based outside Rožaje, on which occasion an inspection report was drawn up confirming the existence of illegal logging and forest destruction. Once again, we call on all competent authorities, including the National Security Council, to act urgently and pay due attention, because there is already enough evidence and warnings that forests in Montenegro are continuously disappearing due to illegal logging," the statement signed by Delić and Kankaraš states.
